17-yr-old raped, neighbour booked
A 17-year-old girl was raped by her neighbour on Wednesday night at Chhajli town of the district. On the complaint of the girl, the police have registered a case under Section 376 of the IPC, Section 4 of the Protection of children from sexual assault act, 2012, against Raghubeer Singh, resident of Chhajli.

Talking to HT, Chhajli police station in charge, Kuldeep Singh said that the girl had filed a complaint against Raghubeer Singh (24) for raping her after forcibly entering her house.
The girl has also alleged that Raghubeer had warned her of dire consequences if she disclosed this to anybody.
The SHO said that soon after the registration of the FIR, the police were tracing the whereabouts of Raghubeer,who has absconded. The medical report of the girl confirmed the rape, said the SHO.
