An 18-year-old biker was killed after being hit by an ambulance, coming from the wrong side, at Spice Chowk in Mohali on Friday morning. Victim Ajay was from Uttar Pradesh and was staying on rent at Mohali village in Phase 1 here.

Ajay worked as a peon in a private firm at the Industrial Area here and had stopped at a traffic signal on way to work when the accident took place at 6am. He said the ambulance was empty when the accident took place.
