30-year-old Martial art coach held on sodomy charges

Police have arrested a 30-year-old martial art coach, Manpreet Singh of Jodhewala area in Ludhiana district, for allegedly sodomising a 10-year-old male child at Dharamkot town, 17 km from district headquarter on Saturday.

The victim's father's complaint to the police stated: "When my minor son went to the coaching centre on Saturday morning, the accused forced him into a room and sodomised him."

Dharamkot SHO Satinder Singh Virk said, "The medical examination of the victim has been completed and the report is awaited. However, a case has been registered against the accused under Section 377 (unnatural offences) of the Indian Penal Code and investigation is on."
