63-year-old man murdered in Sahnewal

A 63-year-old man was found murdered on a vacant plot in Fauji Colony of Sahnewal on Tuesday evening. The victim has been identified as Surinder Nath of Bhogpur Colony. His son, Barkeshwar Nath, told the police that his father had gone to the market to get his spectacles repaired.

The victim has been identified as Surinder Nath of Bhogpur Colony. His son, Barkeshwar Nath, told the police that his father had gone to the market to get his spectacles repaired. However, he never returned. When he initiated a search, he found his father lying dead on a vacant plot in Fauji Colony.

A case under section 302 (murder) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC has been registered.

Sahnewal station SHO Anil Bhanot said the man was dumped on the plot after being murdered.
