It being the election year, the move will help AAP to have better connectivity with farmers fraternity.
Karamjit Singh Jatana, vice-president of its farmers wing, said the decision of setting up help desk wsa taken since the farmers are facing lot of problems on the hands of commission agents and officials of procurement agencies.

“The farmers can approach help desk at any time and their grievance will be taken up with concerned officials at the spot. Even, the people sitting at help desk will collect feeback from farmers sitting in grain market to sell their yield”, Jatana said.
He further informed that the party’s circle incharges will remain present round the clock till last day of procurement season. “The grievances of the farmers should be reported to halwa incharges immediately so as to resolve the issue at earliest”, he added.
Meanwhile, halqa (constituency) incharges will supervise the work of help desk.
“the help desk must ensure that the farmers would not face any exploitation in selling yield and collecting payments for the same within stipulated time”, Jatana informed.
