Amar Singh Chahal, deputy inspector general (DIG), Ferozepur, stated that during questioning of the four accused arrested earlier — Harpreet Singh, Gulab Singh, Radhe Sham and Vicky — it was revealed that they had handed over the weapons used in the crime to Vivek, a worker at a liquor shop at Rajpura village. Subsequently, sharp-edged weapons were recovered and Vivek was arrested, the DIG added.

“We have also arrested Amarjit Singh, an accomplice of the accused,” Chahal said.

The other accused in the murder case include liquor baron and Akali leader Shiv Lal Doda.
