Abohar resident killed, 4 injured in HP mishap

One person was killed and four others injured when a private bus carrying pilgrims from Fazilka in Punjab met with an accident near Sammela tunnel, 8km from Dharamsala, police said. A bus passenger Babloo (24) of Abohar was injured and rushed to Dr RP government medical college in Tanda where doctors declared him brought dead.

One person was killed and four others injured when a private bus carrying pilgrims from Fazilka in Punjab met with an accident near Sammela tunnel, 8km from Dharamsala on Monday afternoon, police said.

Kangra sub-divisional police officer Dinesh Kumar told UNI that bus on its way to this temple town carrying pilgrims from Abohar-Fazilka hit a car from backside when the driver lost control on it due to over-speeding.

He said that though car passengers were unhurt, one bus passenger Babloo (24) of Abohar was injured and rushed to Dr RP government medical college in Tanda where doctors declared him brought dead.

Lal Chand and Parveen Jadeja, two pilgrims from Abohar, were injured in the accident and admitted in the Tanda hospital. They were out of danger. Remaining two persons received minor injuries.
Police have registered a case against the bus driver.
