Accused in child murder case tries to run away at Sunam

One of the main accused in the kidnapping and murder case of five-year-old child Harvinder, that took place in August, tried to flee from the court premises in Sunam after freeing himself from the policemen carrying him to the court on Saturday.

However, accused Harwinder Singh was arrested within minutes after he hit a car while running and fell on the ground.

It may be mentioned that Harvinder Singh of Sheron village in Sangrur district was found dead three days after he was kidnapped on August 27.

The police had arrested Harwinder and his friend Gagandeep Singh of Nagri village for allegedly kidnapping the child after school hours and throwing him into a canal after killing him.
