In a shocking incident, the body of a woman, who seemed to be in her forties, was found at her residence at Baba Deep Singh Colony on the Fatehgarh-Churian road here on Sunday. The woman has been identified as Sukhraj Kaur.

Divulging detail, additional commissioner of police (ADCP-2) Ketan Patil, who visited the spot, said: “Although the woman was married, she used to live alone at her residence. Her husband Sukhwinder Singh lives somewhere else, whereas their 15-year-old son lives at Dera Baba Nanak.
“On Sunday morning, when Sukhwinder went to meet his wife, he found her with blood coming out of her nose.”
“It’s mysterious for sure, but it’s too early to draw any conclusion. We have started a probe, however, much will be clear once the post-mortem report comes, said Patil. Police claimed that there was no injury mark on the victim’s body.
