Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare on Monday gave a clarion call to the citizens to root out corrupt politicians from Indian democracy by “judiciously” exercising their right to franchise. Hazare, who paid obeisance at Devi Talaab Mandir here early morning, said that the key to eliminate corruption from government offices lies in the hands of the voters.

Hazare, who paid obeisance at Devi Talaab Mandir here early morning, said that the key to eliminate corruption from government offices lies in the hands of the voters.
“Don’t sell your vote for a liquor bottle or for some money. Whether this is price of the martyrdom attained by Shaheed Bhagat Singh? We need to create awareness about our rights amongst the citizens so as to prepare them for the final battle,” he added.
“The citizens are real owners of the country while these parliamentarians or MLAs are our servants. We need to monitor these elected representatives at regular intervals so that they should deliver in a corruption free regime,” he said, adding that voting for a right candidate could only eradicate corruption menace from the politics and government offices.
