Bali takes over as health director
Dr HS Bali, a 1980-batch Punjab civil medical services (PCMS) officer, on Friday took over as the new director, health and family welfare, after the superannuation of Dr Bhag Mal ended on December 31, a spokesman said in Chandigarh.

Dr HS Bali, a 1980-batch Punjab civil medical services (PCMS) officer, on Friday took over as the new director, health and family welfare, after the superannuation of Dr Bhag Mal ended on December 31, a spokesman said in Chandigarh.
Dr Bali was earlier serving as director, family welfare. He said his priority areas would further strengthening services of healthcare institutions, including district hospitals, subdivisional hospitals and community health centres, besides bringing improvement in benchmarks and health indicators of the state.
Dr Usha Bansal, who took over as director, family welfare, is also a 1980-batch PCMS doctor.
