Bansal is city's new DCP
Harsh Kumar Bansal has been transferred to the city as deputy commissioner of police (DCP). Earlier, Bansal has served as the superintendent of police and additional deputy commissioner of police - 1 in Ludhiana from 2008-2011.

Harsh Kumar Bansal has been transferred to the city as deputy commissioner of police (DCP). Earlier, Bansal has served as the superintendent of police and additional deputy commissioner of police - 1 in Ludhiana from 2008-2011.
Punjab government has issued the orders for the transfer of several IPS officers, in which Bansal was transferred to Ludhiana.
Bansal said his aim would be to make Ludhiana crime free and providing a safe environment to the residents.
He said, "Transparency in the system will be my hallmark and the works will be done in a very transparent manner".
He said he would take the fellow officers along in eradicating crime from the city.
