Bike thief held, nine bikes recovered in SBS Nagar

The CCTV cameras installed near the area had captured the crime.

The city police said that they have arrested a bike thief with the help of CCTV cameras and seized nine stolen bikes from his possession. The accused is Gurjeet Pal, 30, of Koom Kalan village in Ludhiana. Station house officer (SHO) Raj Kumar said, “On August 10, Ajay Kumar of Kulam Road, said that his TVS bike was stolen by an unidentified thief from outside Kumar Bakery near Chandigarh Chowk.”

The CCTV cameras installed near the area had captured the crime. “On the basis of the footages, we identified Gurjeet and arrested him,” he said. Police team seized nine stolen bikes. The accused will be produced in the court on Sunday. A case under different Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the accused.
