Chemists to down shutters on Friday
Chemists in the state are expected to down their shutters this Friday as part of a nationwide protest against the proposed introduction of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the pharmaceutical sector.

Chemists in the state are expected to down their shutters this Friday as part of a nationwide protest against the proposed introduction of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the pharmaceutical sector.
Punjab Chemist Association president Surjit Mehta on Monday said the All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD) had called the strike to demand the government to lift the ban on scheduled drugs, and for amendments in the Drugs and Cosmetics (Amendment) Act, 2008.
