The National Scheduled Castes Alliance (NSCA) has accused Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal of ignoring the Dalit-dominated villages during his sangat darshan.

"None of the Scheduled Caste (SC) dominated villages in Punjab ever witnessed a sangat darshan by the chief minister," said Paramjit Singh Kainth, president of the National Scheduled Castes Alliance (NSCA).

"The Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP), should be implemented in villages and towns with a large SC presence. However, it seems that the chief minister is deliberately ignoring these areas," added Kainth.

"The SC MLAs also have failed to provide leadership to the SC community of Punjab," said the NSCA chief.
