Briefing the media about the programme after meeting the family members of alleged victims of state repression in Bathinda on Tuesday, party's head HS Dhami and spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh said the latest verdict would serve as a ray of hope for many people "going through mental torture in the long wait for justice."

Spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh said the issue of prisoners' rights, custodial deaths, torture, involuntary disappearances and violation of rights of political dissenters, would come in for discussion in a forthcoming meet.
