Elderly Pak national enters India, returned by BSF

The Border Security Force (BSF) troops apprehended an elderly Pakistani national on late Friday from border out post Dona Raja Deena as he inadvertently crossed the international boundary and entered inside the Indian territory.

The Border Security Force (BSF) troops apprehended an elderly Pakistani national on late Friday from border out post Dona Raja Deena in Abohar sector as he inadvertently crossed the international boundary and entered inside the Indian territory.

The arrested person was identified as Mureed Faqir, 60, son of Meer Gulam Noorjat and a resident of Jakhwa Baad. After crossing the zero line, he reached near the border security fence at 8 pm. Feeling his movement, troops of BSF’s 118th Battalion arrested him, said RS Kataria, deputy inspector general of the BSF.

After initial questioning, the jawans contacted Pakistan Rangers. The BSF officials said the Pak national inadvertently crossed the border and was handed over to Pak Rangers at 3 pm on humanitarian ground.
