They are anguished over lathicharge on farmers who were protesting outside the office of the chief engineer, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, in February, registration of a case and subsequent incarceration of some of them. Satnam Singh Pannu, president, Kisan Sangharsh Committee, while addressing a gathering at Chabba village, said the episode had bared the real face of the SAD-BJP government, which claimed to be profarmer. “Farmers will hold protest marches in villages during which effigies of the state government will be burnt,” Pannu said.
