*The richest candidate from Punjab, Kulwant Singh journey from rags to riches is nothing less than a fairy-tale. Kulwant Singh used to sell (wheat-straw Turi). A weighing machine unit was his world. His abode: a 10 ft x 12 ft shed above his workplace. Today, his company, Janta Land Promoters Limited (JLPL), has an annual turnover of Rs. 1,200 crore. Its business is spread across Punjab and the neighbouring state of Himachal Pradesh.
*Sukhbir accused Kulwant Singh of Rs 1,500 cr scam, and interestingly Kulwant is now a SAD nominee from this seat.
*AAP nominee Harinder Singh Khalsa is the former Indian Foreign Service(IFS) officer and once remained MP from bathinda on SAD ticket.
