First-time voters can still claim certificates
It’s not too late to appreciate the enthusiam of young voters in the Lok Sabha elections. Reacting to the complaints of a few first-time voters who did not receive the promised appreciation certificates as part of the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Par ticipation (SVEEP) programme, deputy commissioner Varun Roojam said on Thursday that the first 10 who had missed out could still collect their certificates.

Reacting to the complaints of a few first-time voters who did not receive the promised appreciation certificates as part of the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Par ticipation (SVEEP) programme, deputy commissioner Varun Roojam said on Thursday that the first 10 who had missed out could still collect their certificates.
Roojam said that the certificate was only for the first 10 voters at all 1,815 polling stations. “As far as I am aware, all first 10 first-time voters have received the certificates, but those who still missed out could claim it from the district administration,” he added.
While he said he was busy with scrutiny of the polling but believed that it the response from Jalandhar voters was good. “The youngsters especially participated in big numbers,” he further said.
