“Punjab police will issue a red corner notice from the Interpol to nab Romy, who is a proclaimed offender in Punjab,” said the DIG.

“The accused were not in direct touch with each other. They used to convey messages to each other through Romy.”

Romy had met Sekhon in the Nabha jail when he was behind bars in a credit card fraud case. He jumped bail in June 2016 and had fled to Hong Kong.

Sekhon, who had made several fake identity documents, including three Aadhar cards, was planning to flee to Hong Kong too with his family.
