AAP district convener Ahbaab Singh Grewal said, "According to the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) report, the state government has misused and wasted the funds meant for providing scholarships and other facilities to over 12,000 disabled students in the state."

Grewal said, "It is well known that the SAD-BJP government diverts funds to finance its pet projects which it thinks will provide it electoral dividends. But diverting funds meant for disabled students is a new low even if we go by the poor standards of the state government. The funds should be immediately allocated for this purpose, scholarships should be given to over 11,000 students who have not received any help till now."

The party demanded ramps and other facilities to be built in the schools for the physicall challeged children.
