Girl hit by military vehicle succumbs to injuries

A 21-year-old BEd student, who was hit by a military ambulance on Tuesday, succumbed to her injuries at SPS Apollo Hospital on Thursday. Her family has not filed any complaint in this context.

A student of Doraha College of Education, Sukhbir Kaur was returning from college with her brother on a motorcycle. As they reached the Link Road near National Highway in Doraha, the motorcycle got unbalanced, throwing them on the road.

Meanwhile, a military ambulance coming from behind hit them. While Kaur suffered serious injuries, her brother escaped with minor wounds.

She was rushed to SPS Apollo Hospital where she succumbed to injuries on Thursday. Kaur's father Manjit Singh, who is an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) with Patiala Police, did not file any complaint. Sukhbir Kaur was the only sister among three siblings.
