As many as 14 persons received injuries after a Haryana Roadways bus overturned at the national highway on Tuesday morning.

“The incident happened at 6:15 am. When I crossed Hisar city, I spotted a truck and a bike coming speedily from the wrong side of the road. As I tried to save them, I lost control over the bus and it overturned,” the bus driver said.(HT Photo)

The bus overturned as the bus driver tried to save another truck and a biker coming from the opposite direction but failed to spot the road side due to dense fog.

Police officials reached the spot and rushed the injured to Hisar civil hospital for treatment. Kamal Kumar, driver of the bus said, “My route is from Hisar to Suratgarh in Rajasthan and the incident happened at 6:15 am. When I crossed Hisar city, I spotted a truck and a bike coming speedily from the wrong side of the road. As I tried to save them, I lost control over the bus and it overturned.”

Police said, “Around 12 passengers received minor injuries including the bus conductor. Two of them were referred to the PGIMS (Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences) Rohtak with serious injuries.”
