The petition was filed by his son, Ravinder Singh stating that family members of Khalsa were not being allowed to meet him and that Khalsa had been admitted in the hospital without the consent of his family members and Khalsa himself.

The directions have been sought to release Khalsa from the hospital and not to administer any medicine without his or his family members consent. He was admitted to PGIMER on September 27.

The Sikh hardliner is reported to be on hunger strike since January seeking release of Sikhs political prisoners.

The petitioner sought permission from the high court bench to hear the matter on Thursday.
