HT IMPACT: Encroachments removed in Kotkapura

Kotkapura municipal committee has removed encroachments from strip of land in Jiwan Nagar, after HT brought the matter to light in its report Residents decry encroachment on government land in Kotkapura, on January 3.

Kotkapura municipal committee has removed encroachments from strip of land in Jiwan Nagar, after HT brought the matter to light in its report Residents decry encroachment on government land in Kotkapura, on January 3.

An encroachment by a religious place on a corner of a prominent one acre plot of the municipal committee was removed. Encroachments by some other religious places were also removed.

Harjeet Singh Sandhu, the MC administrator, and Kotkapura SDM, said: "I have removed all encroachments. No further encroachment will be allowed."
