Hundreds of youths join BJP in Sangrur

The membership drive of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has gained momentum in the district with hundreds of youths joining the party on Monday.

BJP's Punjab secretary Jatinder Kalra welcomed the new members into the party fold. He said members of 12 families joined the BJP under the leaderhisp of BJP's Kisan Cell in-charge Mahant Inderjit Das Bawa in Sangrur.

Kalra said that more than 6 lakh people have already joined the BJP since November 1 and the party will achieve the set target of inducting 21 lakh new members from the state by March next year.

Similarly, several youths from Lehragaga assembly segment also joined the BJP under the leadership of district president of BJP's Yuva Morcha Goldy Grewal. He said that the people of Punjab, especially youths are impressed by the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
