A special lecture on the ill-effects of tobacco was delivered at Ram Lal Bhasin Public School, Urban Estate, Phase-1, Dugri, on Friday.
Medical officer of SDP group Dr Tasveen Kaur made the students of Classes 6 to 9 aware about the menace, which she said was spreading like wild fire among youngsters.
Students were informed about severe problems caused due to consumption of tobacco and the popular ways in which it is consumed.
School president Balraj Bhasin and principal Suman Arora urged the students to raise the issue and contribute towards making the country tobacco free.
