Industrialists meet local bodies minister over rollback of worksheet-7

A group of industrialists on Monday met minister for local bodies Anil Joshi at Amritsar, and demanded that the worksheet-7 introduced by excise and taxation department of the state for refund of Value Added Tax (VAT) be rolled back.

Businessmen demanded that measures should be taken to relieve the industrialists, who were already reeling under pressure. They said the industry was already facing tough competition from Chinese products and such introduction of complicated methods would result in more losses to the industry.

Federation of Associations of Small Industries of India (FASII) national president Badish Jindal claimed that Joshi had promised that he would take up the matter with the government to ensure that worksheet-7 was rolled back.
