IPS Mann elected president of Chandigarh Golf Club

IPS Mann was elected as the new president of the Chandigarh Golf Club on Monday. He defeated Avtar Singh Khara by a margin of 582 votes for the top post in the elections that were held on Sunday.

Ishwar Pratap Singh Mann was elected as the new president of the Chandigarh Golf Club on Monday. He defeated Avtar Singh Khara by a margin of 582 votes for the top post in the elections that were held on Sunday. This year it was a low-turnout affair as only 898 votes were polled. Of these, Mann got 735 votes, while his rival Khara got 153. Ten votes were declared invalid.

Better known as IPS Mann, the new president is an industrialist.

Counting for 11 executive members’ posts was on and the results were expected to be out later in the evening.
