Jalandhar MP distributes grants worth Rs 9 lakh

Local member of Parliament (MP) Santokh Singh Chaudhary on Sunday distributed grants worth `9 lakh to start various development works in the west block of Kartarpur assembly constituency.

He laid the foundation stone of a stadium worth `5 lakh at Chamiara village and gave away official grants of `2 lakhs each to Mand and Patar Kalan villages for the construction of drains and streets.

Congress activists Surinder Chaudhary, Karanvir Gill, Harbhajan Shekhe, Nirmal Gakhal, Tarlok Singh Mand and Raghbir Singh Gill accompanied the MP.
