Kinnaur bus accident: Death toll rises to 21, magisterial probe begins

Death toll in the Kinnaur bus mishap rose to 21 as one more injured admitted at the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, died on way to PGI Chandigarh.

Death toll in the Kinnaur bus mishap rose to 21 as one more injured admitted at the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, died on way to PGI Chandigarh.

On Tuesday, a private bus rolled down to gorge at Nathpa, where 15 people were killed on the spot while five others died at the hospital on the same day. Two injured were referred to IGMC Shimla. On Thursday, one injured person identified as Bhag Jeet was referred to the PGI but he succumbed to grievous injuries.

Meanwhile, sub-divisional magistrate Bhabhanagar started the magisterial probe and shot off letter to different concerned department. The SDM also sought 15 days to submit his report while the deputy commissioner's order was to complete the probe in three days.
