Federation of Associations of Small Industries of India (FASII) national president Badish Jindal raised the issue in a recently held meeting.

Jindal raised the point that facilities in the ESI dispensaries and hospitals were not up to the level of highly paid employees.

In another major decision taken by the Corporation, it has adopted the report of the medical services and medical education committee. This six member committee was chaired by secretary, labour, Gauri Kumar and six other members including Jindal.

Jindal said, “High-level committee will be formed under principal secretary labour/health of every state. The committee will have the power to spend up to `5 crore on the repair of hospitals and `50 lakh on repairing dispensaries.”

“All dispensaries will be repaired and upgraded within six months. The referral to the hospitals from dispensaries will be online from now. Also, the committee may empanel or remove the empanelled hospital on the basis of their performance,” Jindal said.
