Lawyer hurls file at judicial officer

Two unfortunate incidents of lawyers clashing with judicial officers in courtrooms were reported on Thursday. An agitated lawyer allegedly hurled a file towards a woman judge, which missed her by a whisker.

Two unfortunate incidents of lawyers clashing with judicial officers in courtrooms were reported on Thursday. An agitated lawyer allegedly hurled a file towards a woman judge, which missed her by a whisker.

It all happened when a hearing was in progress and a number of clients were present in the courtroom. An intervention reportedly annoyed the advocate.

A similar incident occurred in another lower court where a lawyer exchanged heated words with the judicial officer over exemption to an accused. Both the incidents have been reported to the district and sessions judge. Judicial officers and lawyer community have expressed concern at the occurrence.
