'Lions Club organises seminar on female foeticide, drugs awareness

'Lions Club Ludhiana Vegetarian' organised a seminar on female foeticide and drug awareness at Institute of Nursing Education, GTB Hospital, on Saturday. The seminar was organised in the memory of Bakshi Mohinder Singh, chairman, Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Charitable Hospital Society.

The students of Institute of Nursing Education participated in declamation contest on the topics of female foeticide and drug awareness. Harvineet Kaur and Sakhsi Sharma bagged the first prize in declamation.

Institute of Nursing Education director Dr AS Dua expressed his valuable opinion on these social issues and said that all should look at the girls at par with boys. He said that youngsters should be educated about the side effects of the drugs from the beginning so that they should not get trapped in this menace.
