Man arrested for kidnapping and raping minor
The Nurmahal police has added rape charge in the first information report registered against Bhupinder Singh, a resident of a Marnayian village in Hoshiarpur who was earlier booked for kidnapping a minor girl.

The Nurmahal police has added rape charge in the first information report registered against Bhupinder Singh, a resident of a Marnayian village in Hoshiarpur who was earlier booked for kidnapping a minor girl.
Sho Parwinder Singh said that section 376( rape) of the IPC was added following the victim's statement recorded under section 164 of the cr.p.c. in a Phillaur court.
The SHO said that the accused has been arrested after the victim's father complained to the police that Bhupinder Singh working as a tractor driver with him kidnapped his minor daughter.
Earlier the police has registered a case under sections 363 (punishment for kidnapping) and 366 (inducing a woman to compel her marriage) against the accused.
