Man booked for passing lewd comment at woman constable

Police booked a food outlet owner for allegedly passing lewd comments at a woman Haryana police constable, here on Thursday. The accused has been identified as Nessi Kumar(25), who runs a dhaba at Gohana adda here.

The accused has been identified as Nessi Kumar(25), who runs a dhaba at Gohana adda here.

As per details, traffic police constable Poonam had gone for some work to the said dhaba on Wednesday evening when the accused allegedly started misbehaving by passing lewd comments, which was opposed by her.

The accused did not relent and went on harassing the victim, in police uniform, which led to an altercation between the two.

The victim lodged a complaint and a case under Sections 294(making obscene act) and 506(criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused. The accused was absconding till the filing of this report.
