MC auctions remaining parking lots

The Amritsar municipal corporation on Thursday auctioned its remaining parking lots, netting more than Rs 69 lakh in the process. These parking lots are situated at Gol Bagh (opposite Amritsar railway station), Town Hall, Amandeep Hospital, vegetable market, Navpreet Hospital (Putlighar), old vegetable market, KD Hospital and district courts complex (towards Amritsar cantonment).

Vishal Wadhawan, estate officer, MC, said that in all, 23 parking lots had been auctioned this year, three more than last year. He said the MC also earned more from the auction of parking lots as compared to last year. "This year, the MC has earned Rs 1.55 crore from the auction," he added.
