The medical report submitted by the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) stated that some foreign object was inserted in his anus.

The medical examination of the victim was conducted on the direction of chief judicial magistrate Bhawna Jain on Friday, in view of the order of the Punjab and Haryana high court.

Rakesh was arrested on April 15 for allegedly stealing cameras and then setting a photo studio on fire in Sector 16, Panchkula, on April 11.

He was remanded in police custody for a few days and after that he was sent to Ambala jail. His brother Rajesh submitted before the high court through his counsel Vikas P Singh that Rakesh was brutally tortured and an iron rod was inserted in his anus when he was in the custody of Sector 14 police station.

It was further alleged that carnal intercourse was also done with Rakesh. On April 26, justice Paramjeet Singh of the Punjab and Haryana high court had directed DCP Panchkula to depute some official who shall take Rakesh to PGIMER, Chandigarh, for his medical examination the following day. However, no medical examination could be conducted at that day as the order reached late. Rakesh's medical examination was then conducted on Friday.
