Model Town police seize 16-kg poppy husk

Model Town police seized 16-kg poppy husk from two places here on Sunday. While Raj Rani, a resident of Shimlapuri, was found in possession of 6 kgs of the drug on Dugri Road, Raj Kumar of Shimlapuri was arrested for possessing 10-kg poppy husk near Arora Marriage Palace.

Model Town police seized 16-kg poppy husk from two places here on Sunday.

While Raj Rani, a resident of Shimlapuri, was found in possession of 6 kgs of the drug on Dugri Road, Raj Kumar of Shimlapuri was arrested for possessing 10-kg poppy husk near Arora Marriage Palace.

Both have been charged with sections 15, 61 and 85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
