In a letter to chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday, Devi said that despite the regime change in Punjab, “authorities of Akalis continue to protect Doda's interests”.
"The mobile phone details of the senior officials of excise department should be examined so that it can be ascertained that how many times they had contacted with Doda, accused in the brutal murder of a Dalit man,” she said, referring to her son’s hacking at Doda’s farmhouse in 2015.
Repeated attempts to contact the excise and taxation commissioner remained futile.
