The civic body claims to address the complaint in maximum 24 hours.

To deal with rampant encroachments in the city, a WhatsApp helpline number 9872741138 was launched for the city residents on Monday. People can send in audio complaints regarding temporary encroachments on the number.

The civic body claims to address the complaint in maximum 24 hours. Launching the number at a meeting of municipal corporation enforcement committee, panel chairman and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) councillor Saurabh Joshi said people could send pictures related to temporary encroachments, including rehries, pharies, unauthorised vehicles being repaired on MC land, etc., on the number.

During the meeting, it was discussed that anti-encroachment drives against temporary encroachments, including dumping vehicles, machineries, catering trucks, milk distributing vehicles, schools/colleges/institutional buses, other articles, etc., would be carried out over the next 15 days.
