NRI teenager abducted in Focal Point

A 17-year-old NRI was kidnapped from Focal Point area on Sunday. In her complaint, Jaswinder Kaur of Canada, said she, along with her teenage daughter, had come to Dhandhari Kalan, Ludhiana, to visit their relatives.

In her complaint, Jaswinder Kaur of Canada, said she, along with her teenage daughter, had come to Dhandhari Kalan, Ludhiana, to visit their relatives.

She said that her daughter went downstairs on Sunday, while she was sitting on the first floor of the house. However, she never returned. They initiated a search, and were unable to find here, following which she approached the police.

Sub-inspector Joginder Singh, who is investigating the matter, said a case had been registered against an unidentified person, adding that the family suspected that someone had kidnapped the girl on pretext of marriage.
