Over 20 injured as bus overturns near Hoshiarpur

Around 20 passengers were injured as a bus they were travelling in, overturned near Tanda bypass, on the outskirts of the Hoshiarpur on Tuesday.

Around 20 passengers were injured as a bus they were travelling in, overturned near Tanda bypass, on the outskirts of Hoshiarpur on Tuesday.

Eye witnesses said, “A tractor trolley coming from the opposite side took an abrupt right, forcing the driver of the Rajdhani bus to also rotate the vehicle in that direction.”

Owing to this the bus went out of control and over turned. The passengers were rescued by the PCR personnel and rushed to the civil hospital in ambulances.

The injured passengers were discharged after providing them with first aid. Model Town police took the bus driver in custody for questioning whereas the tractor driver fled from the scene.
