Patiala: Rajpura residents send Rs 20 lakh relief for Nepal quake victims

To provide relief material to Nepal earthquake victims, 40 educational, social and religious organisations have contributed relief material worth Rs 20 lakh. A truck carrying 710 tents, 900 waterproof sheets, and 2,100 bamboos along with other food material was flagged off by additional deputy commissioner Mahinderpal at its Rajpura administrative office.

The relief material was collected under the supervision of sub-divisional magistrate GK Jain.

"More than 40 local organisations contributed relief material to be sent to affected families in Nepal. The response has been tremendous."
