Police submit 'challan' in Moga bus molestation incident
The police have submitted a 'challan' against four accused in the court at Baghapurana in connection with the Moga bus molestation case, in which a 13-year-old Dalit girl Arshdeep Kaur was allegedly molested and then thrown off along with her mother on April 30 from a moving bus of the Orbit Aviation Private Limited, a company owned by the ruling Badal family.
The police have submitted a 'challan' against four accused in the court at Baghapurana in connection with the Moga bus molestation case, in which a 13-year-old Dalit girl Arshdeep Kaur was allegedly molested and then thrown off along with her mother on April 30 from a moving bus of the Orbit Aviation Private Limited, a company owned by the ruling Badal family.

Confirming it, a senior police officer of Baghapurana subdivision revealed that the 'challan' was submitted on July 24 in the Baghapurana court.
According to police, the court will send the case file to the district and sessions judge, who will either keep this case in his court or assign it to any of the additional district and sessions judges.
The police had booked the Orbit bus driver Ranjit Singh of Bathinda district, conductor Sukhwinder Singh of Abohar, helper Gurdeep Singh from Moga, and Amar Ram of Bathinda district under sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 354 (assault or use of criminal force against a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the SC/ST Act on April 30. The all accused were arrested and they were presently under judicial custody
The investigations were carried out under the supervision of senior authorities of the state police by Balwinder Singh deputy superintendent of police of Baghapurana subdivision, who had recorded the statements of more than 30 persons, including a senior officer of the horticulture department and collected evidence regarding this incident.
