Power failure as thermal power units at Bathinda and Lehra Mohabbat tripped

All six working thermal power units at the Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Power Plant at Bathinda and Guru Hargobind Thermal Power Plant Lehra Mohabbat tripped at around 1:15 pm on Saturday due to over drawing of power into peak hours of demand. PSPCL engineers are trying to restore the power. Large part of punjab has gone under power cut after the units stopped producing power.
