Probe UK's role in Operation Bluestar: BJP

Punjab BJP vice-president Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina on Wednesday said all the facts relating the role of Britain helping conduct the 1984 Operation Bluestar at Harmandar Sahib should be made public.

Punjab BJP vice-president Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina on Wednesday said all the facts relating the role of Britain helping conduct the 1984 Operation Bluestar at Harmandar Sahib should be made public.

He welcomed the probe ordered by British Prime Minister David Cameron into the whole incident related to the revelations about the classified documents from UK hinting towards such a role.

"The people want to know the facts about the role of Britain in the operation. The people world over had expressed anguish over the attack on the holy shrine. The kind of role the British government played must be revealed," said Chhina.
