Hardeep Singh Dibdiba, president of the committee, in a press release issued on Thursday said opposition by several Sikhs bodies was unfounded as the movie is yet to be released.

"Ram Rahim considers himself human, so why we are trying to make him God," Dibdiba said.

He added that everyone had the right to freedom of expression and termed religion as a "very personal matter". "Everyone has his own way of worshiping God; no one can preach to others forcefully," he said.

The film by Dera Sacha Sauda chief seems to have divided the Sikhs in Haryana and Rajasthan as the Haryana Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (HSGMC) has submitted a memorandum to the Governor demanding a ban on the movie screening.
