While the target is to paste one lakh stickers, so far 34,000 have been pasted, said a police release.

In the recent past, many people have lost their lives due to collision between vehicles and tractor-trailers on highways, especially during night hours, said a police spokesperson.

He said it has been noticed that lack of reflectors on slow-moving vehicles, especially tractor-trailers that bring agri-produce to mandis during the procurement season, is resulting in mishaps.

He said before the start of the ongoing rabi season, director general of police Suresh Arora had directed the community policing wing to rope in ‘saanjh’ committees constituted throughout the state to take up the sticker- pasting work.
